3. Course Objectives

오류정정부호는 디지털 통신의 채널상에서 발생하는 잡음, 페이딩, 간섭 등을 극복하여 통신의 신뢰도를 높이는 핵심 기술이다. 선형 블록부호(linear block codes)와 순회부호(cyclic codes)를 중심으로 오류정정부호의 기본적인 구성방법을 다루고, 대표적인 부호인 BCH 부호와 Reed-Solomon 부호를 배운다. 또한, 블록부호와는 다른 계열의 Convolutional 부호를 다루며, 이를 통해 터보류 부호에 대한 기본을 배운다.
