3. 강의목표
Analysis of operating principles of transistor structures for RF applications. Basic semiconductor physics is reviewed for early few weeks, and this knowledge is used to provide explanations of transistor characteristics. Development and usage of device-equivalent circuits to interpret semiconductor-imposed limitations on device performance are major topics of the class. Devices analyzed include MESFET's, HEMT's, Bipolar transistor’s, heterojunction BJT's and Diode’s.

Week 1-3: Review– Basic Semiconductor Physics
Week 4-6: Diodes (PN Junction,Schottky Barrier Junction, etc)
Week 7-10: Transistors ( BJT, MESFET, HBT, MOSFET) including in-class Midterm Exam
Week 11-15: Transistor Models
Week 16: Final Exam

Due to the recently implemented school policy, the lectures during the first two weeks will be given on-line through Skype.
