통신 분야와 네트워크 분야를 아우르는 개론 교과목을 제공합니다. 본 과목은 차세대 통신 및 네트워크 융합부전공의 필수과목인 NGCN301과 전자전기공학과 선택과목인 EECE442를 크로스 리스팅하여 개설하는 과목입니다.
This course provides the foundations on the theory and practice of communications and network for undergraduate EECE/CSED/NGCN students.

재학생의 경우 아래의 중간시험, 기말시험 일시에 시험을 치를 수 없는 학생은 수강 변경 기간에 본 과목을 수강취소하여야 합니다.

1. Quarter-term Quiz 1 (11:00-11:30, Thu., Mar. 13th, LG 102) 10 %
2. Mid-term exam (19:00-22:00, Mon., Mar. 31st, LG 102 or Lab) 20 %: Open everything except any LLM.
3. Three Quarter-term Quiz 2 (11:00-11:30, Thu., May 1st, LG 102) 10 %
4. Final Exam (20:00-23:00, Mon., June 2nd, LG 102) 30 %
5. Daily Quiz for each CM: 30 %
6. Attendance: on/off
* No S/U for undergraduate students. A final grade lower than B0 will be converted to U for S/U graduate students.
* Weights will be multiplied to the z-scores of the requirements, unless the variance is too small.

* Extra-credit voluntary project:
- Submit a ppt/pdf file.
- Submit a 15-20 min. recorded presentation file
- Topics for your project must be approved before the final exam.
- If the extra-credit project is satisfactory, then the final grade will be one-step (+,0,-) increased without penalizing other students who have chosen not the submit reports.

1. Regular Enrollment (재학생)
In-class meetings: Every Tuesday and Thursday, 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM @ LG 102
Attendance: Minimum attendance of 3/4 is required. According to the university rule, more than 1/4 of unEXCUSED ABSENCEs lead to F without exception.
Excused absences: Please provide related documents via email to the TA AND professor for excused absences.
Attendance check: It is your responsibility to regularly check your attendance status at the POSTECH Electronic Attendance System. (https://rollbook.postech.ac.kr/ )

-본 강의는 flipped learning 방식으로 개설됩니다.
-매 수업마다 미리 해당 강의 녹화본을 공부하고 출석하여야 합니다.
-매 수업시간에는 Q&A 및 PLMS상에서 치러지는 Daily Quiz가 있습니다.
-Daily Quiz는 수업을 시작하면 공개되며 수업 시간내에 PLMS상 입력을 마쳐야 합니다. 입력을 마쳤으면 강의실을 떠나도 됩니다.
-Daily Quiz는 매 수업 시간마다 randomly 정해지는 3인씩 1개조가 되어 함께 토론하며 문제를 풀고 PLMS상에 입력하게 됩니다.
-결석한 학생의 Daily Quiz는 0점으로 처리됩니다.
-Daily Quiz는 Open everything이고 교수(및 조교)에게 질문은 허용되지만, 조원 외의 누구의 도움도 받을 수 없습니다.

2. Open-Course Enrollment (군복무 개방과목 수강생)
Recorded-online class meetings: Open-course students can learn through recorded videos uploaded on YouTube.
Attendance: Attendance is replaced by Daily Quiz submission.
Daily Quiz: Access PLMS and upload your answers. Each assignment has a longer deadline of 1-2 weeks after the corresponding class meeting, but must be completed by June 11th.
Quizzes and Exams: Quizzes and exams will be available on PLMS. (Regular students must not access these links.) Complete each quiz and exam within 2-3 weeks of the regular student date, but finish them by June 11th.
Plan ahead and allocate sufficient time to complete each quiz and exam without interruption. Pausing or resuming is NOT possible once you begin.
* While you may use any resources during Daily Quiz, Quiz, and Exam, communication with other persons for assistance is not permitted and will be regarded as academic dishonesty.
