3. 강의목표
Classical mechanics is studied using mathematical tools. Topics include kinematics, dynamics, central forces, many-body systems, motions of rigid bodies, Lagrangian and Hamiltonian formulations. The goal of this course is (1) to develop fundamental concepts in mechanics as needed for further study in physics and engineering and (2) to learn how to apply physical concepts and mathematical techniques to solve practical problems in classical mechanics.

5. 성적평가
Homework 30%, Midterm exam 35%, Final exam 35%.
Penalty is imposed for absence in the class.
