3. 강의목표
In this course, students will learn molecular and cellular mechanisms of neuropsychiatric disorders with emphasis on the recent progress in the field. This course is specifically designed to enhance the scientific presentation skills of graduate students in the Department of Life Sciences only. It is structured around three key components:
Tutoring by an English Teacher (25%): You will receive individualized tutoring sessions from an English teacher, who is supported by the Department of Life Sciences. These sessions will focus on improving your presentation skills and constitute 25% of your overall course evaluation.
Presentations in your lab (25%): Another 25% of your evaluation will be based on the presentations you deliver in the laboratory setting. This component aims to assess your ability to effectively communicate scientific information.
In-Class Presentations (50%): The majority of your evaluation, 50%, will be determined by your in-class presentations and participation. These presentations should demonstrate a high level of proficiency in scientific presentation in English, showcasing your ability to convey solid scientific findings with clarity. Before your presentation, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the English teacher during dedicated tutoring sessions.

IMPORTANT: This course includes English tutoring supported by the Department. And due to limitation on supporting students from other Departments, only graduate students in the Department of Life Sciences are eligible to enroll.

7. 참고문헌 및 자료
Students are expected to provide the research and review articles relevant to the subject of their presentation at least one week ahead.
