Modern society faces the challenge of responding to the climate crisis while simultaneously fostering large-scale cooperation for sustainable development. To derive creative and feasible solutions to this issue, countries are increasingly promoting problem-solving interdisciplinary collaboration that transcends the boundaries of traditional academic disciplines. This course aligns with this research trend by providing engineering students with the necessary social science foundations to facilitate exchange and collaboration with social scientists in the fields of environment, climate, and energy policy. Additionally, it will examine ongoing cases of collaboration in various policy areas while exploring potential opportunities for further cooperation.
