3. Course Objectives
This is the first course in abstract algebra, covering theories of groups and rings such as:
Groups: Groups, Subgroups, Quotient groups, Homomorphisms, Group actions, etc.
Rings: Polynomial rings, fields of fractions, and other examples. Euclidean domains, principal ideal domains, and unique factorisation domains, etc.

5. Grading
1 HW/Quizzes 30%, Mid 30%, Final 40%
2 For 7 or more absences, grade F
3 Attendance for the first 2 weeks will not be counted for the lecture check.(처음 2주간은 강연 출석 check 에 count 안함)
4 Make-up exams/quizzes are not allowed for midterms/finals/quizzes missed (중간/기말/Quiz 결석시 make-up은 불허)
