3. Course Objectives
This course introduces the classification, structure, reactions, and reaction mechanisms of organic compounds.
By the end of the course, students will be able to understand and apply concepts related to the classification, structure, nomenclature, reactions, reaction mechanisms, and synthesis of key organic compounds, including halocarbons, alkenes, and alcohols.
This foundation in the fundamentals of organic chemistry will support further study in organic synthesis, biochemistry, molecular biology, polymers, and their practical applications.

1. Course Attitude & Attendance: 0 % (Excessive absence from the class may be a cause of failing grade.)
2. Assignments: 10 %
3. Exam: 1st (25 %), 2nd (25 %) and final (40 %)
