This course will introduce the principles of soft matter physics and demonstrate how they apply to complex biological phenomena. We will cover a range of topics starting with the fundamental concepts, followed by detailed discussions on polymers, colloids, biological membranes, and more.

A basic understanding of physics and calculus at the freshmen level is recommended. Previous coursework in biology or chemistry, while not required, will be helpful.
