3. Course Objectives
Printing is becoming a key enabling technology in the new era of 4th industrial revolution.
This course provides a comprehensive understanding on printing technology from materials to processes with a focus on inkjet process. It also introduces new applications of printing including 3D prototyping, flexible printed electronics and biofabrication for regenerative medicine. For the last two weeks, students will learn how to design and fabricate 3D objects using a 3D printer. This course is suitable for senior undergraduates and graduate students, and no prior technical knowledge needed.
