3. 강의목표
This course introduces engineering and science students to the fundamental concepts and principles of management, focusing on how managerial strategies and decision-making processes are applied in technology-driven environments. Students will learn how innovation and technological development can be understood and managed from a business and organizational perspective.
The course aims to help students:
- Understand the fundamental theories and concepts of management, including strategy, organization, marketing, finance, accounting, and operations management.
- Develop the ability to analyze competitive environments, assess internal resources, and formulate strategies that create sustainable competitive advantage.
- Apply critical and analytical thinking to solve complex managerial problems and make effective decisions.
- Understand how technological progress influences business strategy and how to manage innovation effectively.
- Learn the fundamentals of human resource management, including leadership, motivation, teamwork, and organizational culture in technology-oriented settings.
- Grasp the key concepts of marketing, such as market analysis, consumer behavior, and strategy development for technology-based products and services.
- Acquire basic knowledge of financial management and accounting, including the interpretation of financial statements and the principles of investment and resource allocation.
- Study operations and production management, such as supply chain management, quality management, and project management in technology-intensive environments.
Through case studies and practical applications, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of how management principles operate in real-world business contexts. By integrating their technical expertise with managerial thinking, students will cultivate the essential competencies required to become future leaders in technology and innovation.

8. 강의진도계획
- This course is conducted in a hybrid format, combining (1) conceptual learning and (2) a team project.
- An orientation session will be held during the first class meeting (in the classroom).
- During the course add/drop period, classes will proceed as scheduled; however, attendance records will be counted only after the add/drop period.
- Students may register for this course during the add/drop period. Please note that it may take several hours after registration on POVIS for the course to appear on PLMS. During this time, you can access the recorded lecture (uploaded after the in-class session) and study online.

(2) Team Project
- Team formation will take place in Week 3.
- During Weeks 6, 9, and 12, each team will meet with the instructor to conduct brainstorming sessions, select a topic, and refine their project ideas. These meetings will help teams develop and elaborate their project under the instructor’s guidance.
- In Weeks 14(2)–15, teams will present their final projects, which will be evaluated through both peer review and instructor assessment.
