3. 강의목표
In this course, we will examine political processes and political institutions from the perspective of rational choice theory. After learning the basic concepts of rational choice theory grounded in game theory, we will explore analyses that apply these ideas to political processes and institutions. In particular, we will focus on topics such as collective action problems, the prisoner’s dilemma and cooperation, voting, elections, legislative bargaining, principal–agent problems, and bureaucracy to study political institutions and political processes. Through this, students are expected to develop theoretical and analytical thinking skills regarding political institutions and political processes.
POSTECHIAN Core Competencies: Global Citizenship (20%), Knowledge Inquiry (20%), Digital Literacy (20%), Self-Management (20%), Creative Convergence (20%).
