3. 강의목표

The 21st century is transitioning from the "Information Age" to the "Quantum Information Age," where quantum communication and quantum cryptography technologies are poised to become the key drivers. These technologies offer revolutionary improvements in security, addressing issues that traditional communication and encryption methods cannot resolve. This course aims to foster an understanding of quantum communication and quantum cryptography technologies based on the principles of quantum physics and to develop the ability to apply these technologies in practice. Through this course, students will acquire advanced skills for the future information society and grow into experts who can contribute to research and industry in related fields.

The course is composed of five main topics, aiming to learn the basic concepts and principles of quantum communication and quantum cryptography, as well as the latest research trends. The main contents are as follows:
1. Basics of Modern Communication and Cryptography
o Basic components of optical communication
o Understanding RSA encryption
2. Fundamentals of Quantum Physics
o Learning the basic principles of quantum information, including quantum entanglement, quantum superposition, and quantum state measurement
o Basic understanding of quantum key distribution
3. Quantum Cryptography
o Principles of quantum cryptography and major protocols (BB84, E91, Ekert, etc.)
o Implementation methods and application cases of quantum key distribution
o Security analysis and practical measures for quantum cryptography
4. Quantum Communication
o Quantum repeater and quantum memory
o Fiber-based quantum communication and satellite-based quantum communication technology
5. Applications and Latest Trends
o Quantum teleportation
o Quantum networks and the quantum internet
