3. 강의목표

This is a research-oriented course intended for third- and fourth-year undergraduates.
Students receive one-on-one research guidance from a faculty member and gain research experience.
The course aims to provide undergraduate students with opportunities for academic interaction with professors and to foster an environment conducive to research.

There are no exams or assignments.

10. 학습법 소개 및 기타사항

• Course registration process:
(1) After meeting with the intended advisor, the student completes the “Independent Study Participation Form” (available from Dept of Math Administrative Office), which requires the signature of the research advisor (a full-time faculty member of the Department of Mathematics).
(2) During course registration, the student enters the name of the research advisor in the system.
(3) The student submits the Participation Form to the Mathematics Department Office.

• Recommended prerequisites: MATH301(Modern Algebra I) and MATH311(Analysis I)
• Grading: S/U
• Maximum number of enrollments: 2
