Universal Attendance Policy (Under Graduate)
1. Attend every class. Language classes need you to be here to learn.
2. Missing a test day. If you miss a test, you get 0% (F). Only serious issues (like a family emergency or hospital stay) can excuse this, with supporting evidence.
3. Unexcused absences. Each time you miss class without a good reason, you lose 3% from your final grade.
4. Four absences. If you miss 4 classes (excused or unexcused), you fail the course with an F or U grade.
Lateness/Tardiness.
1. Under 15 minutes late or sleeping in class: Lose 1% from your final grade.
2. 15 minutes or more late: Counts as an absence, (unless there is a good reason) lose 3% from your final grade.
Note: Always communicate with your instructor if you have an issue. Supporting evidence for excused absences or tardiness is required.
