3. 강의목표

This course aims to equip students with the ability to model, analyze, and optimize operations and supply chain systems using quantitative techniques, enabling effective managerial decision-making in complex and uncertain environments. The course investigates a range of quantitative operations management decision models commonly applied in industry, including supply chain network design, demand and supply planning and coordination, inventory management, and transportation network models. It introduces fundamental optimization techniques such as linear programming, network flow models, dynamic programming, and scheduling heuristics.

4. 강의선수/수강필수사항

- 본 교과목은 경영과학전공 학생만 대상으로 하며, 타 전공 및 타 학과 학생의 수강은 불가함 (This course is open only to students in the Management Science major. Enrollment by students from other majors or departments is not permitted.)
- Basic mathematic skills, statistics, Excel, Python skills are expected.

Students are encouraged to actively participate in class discussions. There will be two exams in the semester. Make-up exam will be given only under extraordinary circumstances. If a student is unable to take the exam on the scheduled date for extenuating reason(s), s/he must notify the instructor before the exam. Small term project is required. Grading details are provided below.
