3. 강의목표

This course aims to provide students with an understanding of the following topics:
- the principles of electromagnetic forces acting on charged particles under electrostatic and magnetostatic conditions;
- vector calculus and the concepts of vector and scalar fields;
- the electrical properties of conductors and dielectrics;
- the fundamental operating principles of passive circuit elements such as capacitors and inductors;
- the generation of electromagnetic waves by time-varying electromagnetic fields;
- the transmission and reflection of electromagnetic waves at interfaces between different media;
- the fundamentals of transmission-line theory.
