Antenna Engineering Handbook 5th edition (pp. 411-428), McGraw hill, . (Editor: Prof. John Volakis) (ISBN-13 978-1259644696 )
E. Course description:
- This class can be characterized by the following three goals:
1. Dialogue and Group-based learning
2. Expansive understanding of the latest antenna engineering topics
3. Critical thinking and problem solving skills
The class WILL NOT be run like a traditional class in which the instructor focuses on conveying the knowledge. Class participants (students) will be expected to complete the reading assignments IN ADVANCE of attending the class.
During the class, the instructor will organize the class in the following manner:
1. First 30% of the class: Review of material based on the instructor and the designated students presentation
2. Mid 30% of the class: Round table discussion of the material by every student (critiques, questions, opinions)
3. Final 40%: Extend this knowledge to certain problems and formulate possible solutions.
Every student will be graded by his/her participation for each class hour and this will be accumulated to the final grade at the end of the semester.
