3. 강의목표

"Semiconductors: How Deep Have You Gone?"

Moving beyond textbook theory, this course aims to provide hands-on, "living knowledge" of semiconductor technology by leveraging POSTECH’s state-of-the-art facilities.

Based on a solid understanding of semiconductor devices, students will engage in the entire practical cycle of a transistor: i) Design, ii) Fabrication, iii) Measurement, and iv) Analysis.

For POSTECH Students: Semiconductor Electronics I (EECE211)

For Visiting/Exchange Students: Completion of core major course(s) in Electrical Engineering covering the fundamental principles of semiconductor devices, with a solid understanding of basic MOSFET structures and operation

Note: Students who do not meet these requirements must consult with and receive approval from the instructor prior to registration.

For graduate students taking this course on an S/U (Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory) basis, a grade of 'S' will only be awarded if the final performance meets the criteria for a grade of B0 or higher.

Course Registration: DISU301 and EECE490E are equivalent (identical) courses. If EECE490E is at full capacity, please register for DISU301 instead.

Lecture Format: This course is conducted 100% online via VOD. Please ignore the official lecture times currently listed on the registration system.

Hands-on Lab Session (On-Campus in Pohang): A hands-on semiconductor fabrication lab will be held on the POSTECH campus over a Friday-to-Sunday period between late November and early December. The exact dates and detailed schedule will be finalized after the semester begins, following a survey of the participating students' schedules.
