3. 강의목표

Most programmers use parallel processors, such as GPGPUs, only indirectly through software frameworks or libraries developed by others. This course helps students understand the architectural design principles of modern GPGPUs and learn how to implement efficient parallel computing software using CUDA. Topics include GPGPU parallel architectures, heterogeneous memory models, programming models, parallel algorithm implementation, and software development tools. The course will also include discussions on systematic approaches for designing effective parallel variants of computational algorithms.

There is no explicit prerequisite course for this class. However, students are recommended to have a basic understanding of computer architecture and deep learning before taking the course.
