3. 강의목표

The primary object of this course is to develop expertise in analyzingand designing control systems by improving your thinking and problemsolving skills as an engineer. The ability to model the real system byapplying physical laws to the system, design control system and analyzeis performed using modern state space approach and analysis forNonlinear system is introduced. The optimal control will also beintroduced.One experiment steup should be developed in this couse as a term projectto be used as an example to control real system. It may be an invertedpendulum or other naturally marginally stable or unstable system. Agroup must design the system, model it and analyze it. Matrix-X and CCsoftwares are used.

The aim of the project in this course is to encourage hands onexperiments in designing control system. This will allow you to applythe principles leamt in the course. For the project proposal, submit 2page including the followings :1. Project title 2. Aim 3. Motivation 4. Tasks to be completed 5.ReferencesAt the end of the course, you are required to make a 20-30 minutes oralpresentation to the class and submit a 20-30 page final report.
