3. 강의목표
AI is rapidly prevailing as an everyday commodity that creates new and rich experiences in every facet of our life. In this course, we explore novel intelligent systems and human-centered applications in the physical forms of mobile, IoT and wearables, which are always together with our real life anytime, anywhere. This course is organized with (1) cutting-edge research prototypes premiered in top-tiered conferences, (2) a few special invited lectures given by globally renowned researchers, (3) end-to-end programming practices on physical sensing, machine learning, and user interfaces on mobile platforms, as well as a term project. This course does not plan mid-term nor final exams. Students can self-define their term project topics, preferably in relation to their own research area and this course’s theme. If necessary, Inseok will be happy to discuss a student’s potential topic.
4. 강의선수/수강필수사항
There is no hard-required prerequisite. Modest background on machine learning, human-computer interaction, operating systems, or signal processing would be helpful but not strictly required.
5. 성적평가
Term project: 30%
Paper presentations: 20%
Quiz and assignments: 40%
Interactivity: 10%
