3. 강의목표
This course covers the foundations of modern methods of quality design, control, improvement, and management that are used in the manufacturing and service industries.
4. 강의선수/수강필수사항
IMEN 272 (Probability and Statistics for Engineers) or MATH 230 (Probability and Statistics); Strictly enforced.
IMEN 260 (Operations Research) and IMEN 242 (Experimental Design): Strongly recommended.
5. 성적평가
Grading System: 20% Assignments
30% Term Project
40% Final Examination
10% Class Participation
Final Examination: The final examination will be closed book with 2-page summary notes, covering mostly SPC parts. Examination policies will be announced prior to the exam.
Term project: A term project with a group of 2 or 3 students will be given. A detailed schedule will be announced later.
Class Participation: Students are expected to actively participate in class discussions.
