3. Course Objectives

Students will develop the following capabilities and skills through the course:
(1) Understanding of the concepts, processes, issues, and techniques of product design & development (PDD).
(2) Abilities to develop novel design concepts and ideas in a systematic manner.
(3) Skills of visualization, documentation, and presentation to effectively communicate ideas and findings of PDD.
(4) Application of the PDD knowledge set to real-world problems.
(5) Collaborative teamwork to achieve the goal of a PDD project by integrating diverse roles and skills of the team members.
