3. 강의목표
The objective of this course is to introduce a steelmaking technology overview and var- ious principles and phenomena involved in steelmaking processes. High-temperature physical chemistry (thermodynamics, kinetics, and physicochemical properties per- tinent to steel, slag, gas, etc.) is reviewed. Key processes hot metal pretreatment, oxygen steelmaking, secondary refining of liquid steel, and casting are introduced. The aim of this course is to understand phenomena in the steelmaking process with the aid of high-temperature physical chemistry.
