3. 강의목표

The course is designed to introduce important concepts, methods, and tools of Bioinformatics. Topics include (but not limited to) sequence comparison and alignment, databases and data formats, phylogenetic analysis, gene prediction and regulation, prediction of deleterious amino acid substitutions, Protein Classification, Protein structure prediction such as alphafold, protein-protein Interactions, membrane protein structures. Emphasis will be put on the understanding and utilization of these concepts and algorithms. The objective is to help the students to understand the key concepts of bioinformatics and be able to use the bioinformatics tools to solve the problems on their own research.
