3. 강의목표

In mechanical vibration class, we study the theory on the vibratory responses of a structure. The processes to learn about the characteristics of vibration of a structure may start with the study on the vibratory responses of a single-degree-of-freedom structure (or system) and continue to learn on the responses of muti-degree-of-freedom ones. Modeling of a structure as a vibration system may be considered simultaneously with the theoretical study on vibrations.

본 과목은 진동의 기초 이론을 소개하고 공학에서 진동 현상의 해석의 필요성에 따른 모델 작성 방법과 작성된 모델의 해석을 위한 방법을 학습한다. 일자유도 시스템에서 진동 현상의 특징을 학습하고 이의 의미를 해석적으로 고찰한 후에 다자유도 시스템의 진동에 대하여 학습한다.

9. 수업운영

The following directions should be kept in mind of students when they prepare the homework and the answer sheets to the examinations:
1. Each problems should be presented on separate pages. (Please don’t write two problems on one page.)
2. The detailed processes of the solution to the given problems shall be presented in the your answer sheets for Quizzes, Exams. and Homework.
(If the final answer of the given problem is presented without the processes approaching to it on your answer sheets, you will obtain at most 5% of the full points even though it is correct.)
3. The graphs in your homework should be presented in the printed form by use of computer programs like Matlab or Mathematica. The detailed comments on what you observed from the graphs in physical aspects should be also written in your answer sheets.
