Understanding modeling and control of distributed power electronics converters
Converter analog/digital controller design through individual projects

4. Prerequisites & require

Preferred but non-prerequisite - EECE322 (Introduction to automatic control)

1. Basic operiational princple - distributed power electronics converters
2. Pulse Width Modulated DC-DC converters
3. Linearlized state space modeling approach
4. Single & Dual loop control - voltage/currnet mode control
5. Unterminiated converter modeling
6. Input fiter/Output filter desing (Single & Multiple stages)
7. Interaction analysis (Impedance comparison)
8. Droop control of parallel distributed dc-dc converters
9. Basic control of grid connected DC-AC inverter

- Lecture notes will be provided

10. How to Teach & Remark

- Simulation tools for individual projects (Students could use one or all of these tools)
Mathworks simulink (campus license)
PLECS(license will be provided)
