3. 강의목표

This course aims to practice essential technologies and methods needed for designing, analyzing, and optimizing modern manufacturing systems. This course covers the following: Computer-Aided Design, Factory Layout Design & Manufacturing Simulation, Manufacturing Information and Communication Standards (e.g., OPC-UA and AAS), Failure Detection & Prediction Methods. Through lectures, practical labs with commercial software, and real-world case studies, students will gain hands-on experience with smart manufacturing technologies that are widely used in many leading manufacturing companies.

Lab#1: CAD (Siemens NX-CAD) 10%
Lab#2: manufacturing simulation (Siemens Plant Simulation) 30%
Term Project: open topics for smart manufacturing systems 50%
Presentation: advanced topics, real-world case studies 10%
Attendance & Participation: 3 absences -> grade change (e.g. A -> B), 6 absences ->fail
